PRIM will transform its logistics to make data-driven strategic decisions
PRIM Group will move forward with data-driven strategic decision-making at three of its warehouses in Spain thanks to Mecalux’s Easy WMS management software. “Digitalisation is one of the pillars of the PRIM Group’s 2021-25 Strategic Plan. It is a change that is part of the technological architecture modernisation process being implemented to support the growth of our operations. Specifically, in the case of this project, the application of warehouse management software will allow us to improve the real-time knowledge of our supply chain and have greater control of processes,” explains Antonio Mendes, Deputy Director of Operations at PRIM.
With the implementation of the Mecalux software, PRIM has set itself multiple objectives: to optimise inventory management, control product traceability, reduce errors and, at a strategic level, improve data-driven decision-making. Easy WMS, in its cloud mode, will support and direct warehouse operations and will therefore monitor the exact real time location of all SKUs.
“The ultimate goal of our logistics renovation is to be more efficient in our supply chain management on a daily basis, to provide the best possible service to our customers,” says Mendes. With the Labour Management System and Supply Chain Analytics Software modules PRIM will have key indicators regarding the performance of its different logistics tasks at its warehouses.
Order dispatches will also be digitalised through the Multi Carrier Shipping Software module, which will offer comprehensive control of the entire dispatch process of goods. The programme will automate communication between warehouses and different transport agencies to offer an efficient and error-free service to the end customer.
The digitalisation of PRIM’s supply chain will bring greater control to the logistics processes, while also encouraging strategic decision-making aimed at increasing productivity and providing better customer service.
