PRIM finalises the purchase of the Valencia company Laboratorios Herbitas and strengthens its growth strategy

The Prim Group has finalised its purchase of Laboratorios Herbitas, a company from Valencia that has over 30 years of experience in the market and a wide range of products in the orthopaedic, pharmacy and podiatry sectors, a field which Prim is a leading player of in Spain.

This operation is part of the Strategic Plan devised by Prim for the 2021/2025 period, which has ambitious expansion targets, both through organic growth and selective acquisitions.

Prim’s financial solvency and liquidity have made this acquisition possible. The operation could amount to a top figure of €7 million and will generate significant commercial and logistical synergies in terms of sales channels, customers and markets.

The incorporation of this company underpins the Prim Group’s position in the podiatry, orthopaedic and pharmacy sectors, while also opening it up to national and international multi-channel distribution in the Healthcare sector.

Laboratorios Herbitas is a family company, founded in 1989. It specialised in the trade, import and export of products and raw materials for medical, podiatric, orthopaedic and dental products, as well as the manufacture of insoles and the sale and assembly of clinical equipment.

This acquisition is added to the list of those made in the middle of last year, which included Prim’s incorporation of the orthopaedic clinical activity of Ilunion and the company Orto Ayudas, as well as the Portuguese company Farma Mais. All these operations have the aim to expand the Group’s geographical presence while also diversifying its activities and consolidating its leadership in the market.
